Toyota on Monday launched its much-anticipated Rumion in India at a starting price of Rs 10.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The Toyota Rumion shares a lot of its components with the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in line with the ongoing partnership between the two car manufacturing giants. However, the Maruti Suzuki's Ertioga is more affordable in terms of prices as it starts at Rs 8.64 lakh (ex-showroom). Here is a more detailed comparison of the two multi-purpose vehicles.
Rumion vs Ertiga - Design
The front grille and front bumper of the two MVPs most noticeably differ from one another. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has a flashy front grille with broad lengths of chrome trim in the middle, whereas the Toyota Rumion's front fascia features a mesh design encircled by a chrome trim.

The Toyota Rumion's front bumper has undergone a complete redesign since Toyota is probably going to add a silver or brushed aluminium insert to the lower portion of the front bumper. Although the fog lamp housings are clearly distinct, both cars will use the same set of headlamps.
Although the recently released Toyota Rumion and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, both have 15-inch alloy wheels, the Toyota Rumion's wheel design is more sporty and contemporary. Only the Toyota and Rumion logos at the rear distinguish the Rumion from the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
Rumion vs Ertiga - Colour Scheme
There are seven colour schemes available for the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga: Dignity Brown, Magma Grey, Oxford Blue, Auburn Red, Splendid Silver, Arctic White, and Midnight Black. There are only five colour combinations available for the Toyota Rumion: Spunky Blue, Rustic Brown, Iconic Grey, Cafe White, and Enticing Silver.
Rumion vs Ertiga - Cabin
In contrast to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga's dual-tone beige and black interior motif, the Toyota Rumion's inside is finished in a grey colour. The layout and characteristics of both MPVs are identical from the inside apart from this difference in the theme. A 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 4 airbags, paddle shifters, chilled cup holders, auto air conditioning, and roof-mounted blower vents are features shared by the Ertiga and Rumion.
