Japanese automaker Toyota India has teased its upcoming vehicle, the Urban Cruiser Taisor. The Urban Cruiser Taisor is essentially a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx crossover. Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor is slated to be unveiled on April 3, 2024 and marks the next addition to the Japanese automaker's lineup, continuing its trend of launching rebadged Maruti Suzuki models in India.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor - Exterior
In the teaser image, a glimpse of the Urban Cruiser Taisor's exterior is offered, it showcases a red-coloured model with redesigned LED daytime running lights and a new radiator grille. Additionally, the crossover will feature updated LED headlamps, revised LED tail lights, and refreshed front and rear bumpers, along with a new set of alloy wheels. The silhouette hints at squarish wheel arches and a sloping roofline, reminiscent of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor - Interior
While details about the interior remain undisclosed, it is anticipated that the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor will offer a feature-loaded cabin akin to the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. It is expected to boast features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a digital instrument cluster, wireless charger, ambient lighting, 360-degree surround-view camera, head-up display and automatic climate control.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor - Powertrain
In terms of powertrain, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor is likely to share the same engine options as the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. This includes both petrol-only and petrol-CNG bi-fuel variants, with the same transmission options as the Fronx.

Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor - Rivals
With the upcoming Urban Cruiser Taisor SUV, Toyota aims to offer Indian consumers a compelling crossover option that combines style, technology, and performance, using the successful platform developed by Maruti Suzuki. Post its launch, the Toyota crossover will enter a competitive market segment, competing against rivals such as the Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
