British manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles has shared a teaser of an upcoming 660cc motorcycle which is set to make its debut on January 9, 2024. The teaser showcases a fully-faired which has raised speculations for it to be the Triumph Daytona 660. This new motorcycle will share its foundation with the Tiger Sport 660 and the Trident 660.

Triumph Daytona 660 - Engine Specs 

In the teaser, it can be seen that the upcoming Triumph motorcycle features a “660 cc” insignia which indicates that the motorcycle will share its engine with other 660 cc bikes. The upcoming motorcycle is expected to be powered by a three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is tuned to produce a power output of 80 bhp and 64 Nm of torque. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch. 

Triumph Daytona 660 - Design and Features 

The Triumph Daytona 660 has been spotted testing internationally multiple times, revealing that the Daytona 660 seems to look more like a sport-tourer rather than an outright sportbike. The bike showcased in the teaser, is equipped with clip-on handlebars and slightly rear-set footpegs.

Other notable features such as the switchgear, levers and instrument cluster resemble the ones fitted onto the Triumph Trident and Triumph Tiger Sport. Therefore, it is fair to anticipate that the Daytona 660 will get two riding modes - Rain and Road along with a a bi-directional quickshifter and a traction control system.

Triumph Daytona 660 - Hardware 

Suspension responsibilities are assigned to non-adjustable upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Whereas, for braking responsibilities, the motorcycle is equipped with disc brakes both at the front and rear. Also, Triumph has equipped the Daytona 660 with radial calipers instead of the axially mounted Nissin units found on the other 660 models.
