Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX Limited Edition: Triumph Motorcycles has launched the limited-edition Speed Triple 1200 RX at Rs 23.07 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The limited-edition motorcycle will have a production run of 1,200 units worldwide. The Speed Triple 1200 RX is designed primarily to cater to those seeking a high-performance, track-oriented experience without compromising on-road functionality. 

Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX: Engine

Based on the Speed Triple 1200 RS, the 1200 RX features a 1,160cc inline-3 liquid-cooled engine, which is tuned to develop 181bhp at 10,750rpm and 127Nm at 8,750rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, accompanied by a quickshifter. Triumph has also fitted the bike with an Akrapovic exhaust, made of carbon fibre and titanium.

Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX: Ergonomics

Unlike the Triple 1200 RS, the 1200 RX gets lower-set clip-on handlebars and more rear-seat footpegs, enabling a more aggressive riding position. The seat height remains the same, at 830mm.

Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX: Hardware, Electronics

The suspension setup of the limited-edition bike consists of an Ohlins SmartEC3.0 USD front fork (with an Ohlins SD EC steering damper) and a rear monoshock. Braking is handled by dual discs with Brembo Stylema monobloc callipers at the front and a single disc with a Brembo twin-piston calliper at the rear. Electronic aids include cruise control, cornering traction control, front wheel lift control, engine brake control, ABS, and 5 ride modes (Rain, Road, Sport, Track, and Rider).

The limited-edition model is offered in an exclusive Triumph Performance Yellow and Granite colour scheme, with RX decals. It tips the scales at 199kg (kerb).
