Earlier, it was reported that citizens can avail tokens online for the Lok Adalat. However, the National Legal Services Authority issued a disclaimer refuting reports of online token generation for disposal of traffic challans. "There is no facility of token generation for traffic challans or for any other case on NALSA Website (www.nalsa.gov.in)," the notice read.
The notice clarified that "misguided information" was being circulated in video, reels and shorts by "social media influencers" and asked the public not to believe these reports. NALSA has further flagged such videos to the concerned authorities.
"Please note that NALSA does not circulate/issue such kind of link/videos for disposal of traffic challans, etc," the notice read.
