Upcoming Cars In India In 2024: The Indian automobile industry has witnessed some spectacular launches in the ongoing year with many popular models being launched in the country such as Hyundai Creta facelift, Creta N Line, Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift, Tata Punch EV and many more. This trend is anticipated to continue as there are various models lined up to be launched in India in the coming months. Let’s take a look at some new vehicles that are set to be launched in the remaining months of 2024.

Tata Curvv and Curvv EV
Tata is set to launch the Curvv and Curvv EV in the mid-size SUV segment in the second half of 2024. Post its launch, the Tata Curvv SUV will compete against the Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate and Kia Seltos. The Curvv EV will debut during the festive season, followed by petrol and diesel versions. The Curvv will feature a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a similarly sized diesel engine. The Curvv EV, built on Tata's Gen 2 acti.ev architecture, is expected to offer a range of 450-500 km.
Mahindra Thar 5-Door
Mahindra is expected to launch the Thar 5-door, likely named the Thar Armada, in August 2024. This new version will have a longer wheelbase for more interior space. The engine options will be the same as the current 3-door model, but the design will feature updates to the front and rear, along with a new touchscreen infotainment system.
Kia Carnival
Kia India is set to launch the Carnival MPV again later this year in the country as the previous-gen Carnival was discontinued in India last year. However, the new Kia Carnival has been spotted testing on Indian roads, hinting at its return. The global model includes a 3.5-litre V6 GDI engine with 287 bhp, which is unlikely to come to India. For the Indian market, the new model is anticipated to retain the 2.2-litre diesel engine from its predecessor that produces a power output of 201 bhp, paired with an automatic transmission.
Nissan X-Trail
Nissan will launch the X-Trail SUV in India in July 2024, two years after its reveal in other global markets. Returning after eight years, the X-Trail will be available in five-seater and seven-seater versions. It features an ePOWER drive system combining a 150 kW front electric motor with a petrol engine. The SUV will offer two engine options - a 201 bhp ePOWER hybrid and a 211 bhp all-wheel-drive variant.

Skoda Kodiaq
The new Skoda Kodiaq was unveiled for the global market last year and has recently been spotted testing on Indian roads multiple times. Therefore, it is anticipated that the new-gen Kodiaq SUV will be launched in India this year. The Skoda Kodiaq facelift has been introduced with various modifications in its exterior design and within its interior as well. Talking about the powertrain, it is likely that it will continue to retain the existing configuration only.
