VinFast Electric Scooters: Having launched its two electric cars (VF6 and VF7) in September 2025, Vietnam-based VinFast is now preparing to expand operations in India with the introduction of its electric buses and e-scooters. For that, the brand recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Tamil Nadu for the allocation of 200 hectares (approx.) of land in the SIPCOT Industrial Park in Thoothukudi, aiming to set up dedicated production lines for electric buses and e-scooters.

VinFast has yet to disclose the launch timeline and product details of its upcoming e-scooters, but the brand is currently conducting a feasibility study for the e-scooter project that will provide crucial insights into Indian market conditions and requirements. Furthermore, it is also soliciting valuable feedback from stakeholders. And that is going to take some time, as the production-spec e-scooters for our market will be selected only after performance testing and regulatory approvals are completed.

VinFast Electric Scooters: Expected in Late 2026

Keeping that in mind, we expect the brand's official entry into the e-scooter segment to take place in the latter part of 2026. Upon launch, VinFast will lock horns with the established rivals such as TVS, Ather, and Hero's Vida. With regard to specific models slated for our market, details remain unclear; however, our team has had the opportunity to inspect the brand's Vietnam factory, gaining insights into the following six electric scooters sold in the home country: the Feliz, Klara Neo, Theon S, Vero X, Vento S, and the Evo Grand.

VinFast Electric Scooters: Range, Top Speed

The scooters sold abroad are offered with either hub- or side-mounted electric motors, with a top speed ranging from 60km/h to 99km/h. Depending on the model selected, the range varies. For reference, the range is approximately 262km for the dual-battery Vero X and Feliz models, while the Klara Neo claims 112km.
