Taigun Trail Edition Launch: German automobile giant Volkswagen on Thursday launched the Trail Edition of its flagship SUV Taigun. Starting at Rs 16.29 lakh (ex-showroom), the Volkswagen Taigun Trail Edition is a part of VW's new GT Collection, which consists of limited volumes of Virtus and Taigun GT trims. The all-new Taigun is based on the Taigun GT, which is the top-spec variant of the standard version and is one of the safest SUVs in India.
Volkswagen Taigun GT Edge Trail Edition - Design
Comparing it with the standard version, the Volkswagen Taigun GT Trail Edition has got some major design changes. It now boasts a chrome accent on the grille and a bold chrome accent on the lower grille. On the outside, the VW Taigun GT Trail Edition gets 16-inch black-painted alloy wheels and functional roof rails giving a sportier look to the car with a ‘Trail’ badging at the rear. VW has used the infinity taillights in the new Taigun as well.
Volkswagen Taigun GT Edge Trail Edition - Cabin
Within the interior, the Taigun Trail Edition gets notable features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless charger, ambient lighting, electric sunroof, multi-function steering wheel, 3D floor mats, leatherette seat covers with Trail badging and SS foot pedals. Safety features include a reverse parking camera, ESC, TPMS and active cylinder management technology (ACT).
Volkswagen Taigun GT Edge Trail Edition - Engine
The Taigun Trail Edition sources its power from the same 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol engine that is available in the standard variant. The transmission options include a six-speed manual gearbox or seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. This turbo petrol engine is capable of producing a power output of 148 bhp and 250 Nm of torque.
