Swedish automaker Volvo Cars has unveiled the EM90 - Volvo’s first fully-electric luxury MPVthat has been specifically developed for the Chinese market and will be launched in other international markets later on. Volvo has stated that the EM90 is like a 'Scandinavian living room on wheels' with top-notch premium features and luxury.

Volvo EM90 - Exterior 

Starting with the exterior design of the Volvo EM90, it gets Volvo’s signature Thor's Hammer LED headlights, taillights and also gets an illuminated Volvo logo at the front which has been used for the first time in any Volvo car. The EM90 is a three row-six seater MPV that features rear sliding doors. Talking about the dimensions, it is 5,206 mm long, 2,024 mm wide, 1,859 mm long and has a wheelbase of 3,205 mm. 


Volvo EM90 - Interior 

Moving inside the luxurious Volvo MPV, it gets a plethora of premium features like lounge seats in the second row with massage functionality, heated-ventilated seats, built-in table and cup holders, second-row lounge seats feature zero-gravity cushions, sliding rear door for easy access and sliding second-row seats for access to the third row. In terms of tech features, it gets a 15.4-inch touchscreen for the front seat, a 15.6-inch screen that can be lifted down from the roof for back seat occupants and 21 speakers from Bowers & Wilkins music system. Additionally, the EM90 also features a panoramic sunroof covering the entire cabin, curtains and multiple ambient lights highlighting the Scandinavian touch of the MPV.

Volvo EM90 - Powertrain 

The Volvo EM90 electric MPV is built on Volvo's SEA platform and takes design inspiration from the EX90 electric SUV. It is equipped with a powerful motor that is capable of producing a power output of 272 bhp and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. It is also equipped with a 116 kWh battery pack that offers a CLTC claimed driving range of 738 km for the EM90. It takes 30 minutes to charge the battery from 10-80 per cent while using a fast charger.
