Tata Harrier Petrol Video:  The Tata Safari and Harrier petrol are set to be launched soon in India. The Harrier and Safari are two of the most popular nameplates offered by the brand in the country. However, both of these SUVs are currently exclusively available with a diesel engine, which reduces the choice of engine for the customers. The Jagran Hitech team recently got a chance to test the Tata Safari and Harrier petrol, and here’s our video review of the same.

Tata Safari And Harrier Petrol: The Engine

The Tata Safari and Harrier petrol are expected to come equipped with powertrain options of a 1.5-litre Revotron Naturally-aspirated petrol engine and the new 1.5-litre Hyperion petrol engine. The recently launched Tata Sierra comes with a choice of the same engine options, and the 1.5-litre Hyperion engine recently set the record for maximum fuel efficiency achieved in 12 hours. In a certified run at NATRAX Indore, the Sierra delivered an exceptional 29.9 kmpl, surpassing the previous national benchmark.

Tata Safari And Harrier Petrol: Transmission Options

The Tata Safari and Harrier are currently available with a diesel engine, which can be paired with either a manual or an automatic transmission. We expect the mill to be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, and the automatic transmission might likely be a Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT).

Tata Safari And Harrier Petrol: Expected Price

The prices for the Tata Harrier start from Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Tata Safari is priced from Rs 14.66 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards. We expect the upcoming Tata Safari and Harrier Petrol to be launched with prices starting from Rs 13.60 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively.
