What’s Different In The New Ola S1 Pro Gen 2? Features Explained

With the introduction of the S1X, S1 Air, and S1 Pro Gen 2, Ola has upgraded its entire lineup of electric scooters. The majority of the scooters are new and all of them have seen significant development since the previous models.

With a modified battery pack, platform, and new components, the S1 Pro Gen 2 receives a major update in comparison to the original model. Let's explore in more depth what's different between the S1 Pro Gen 2 and the original Ola S1 Pro.

Ola S1 Pro Gen 2: Platform

Based on a significantly improved platform that is lighter and stronger, the new Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 has a flat floorboard as opposed to the older model, which has a hump in the middle. In addition, the new S1 Pro has dual rear shocks in place of the original model's single rear shock and standard telescopic front forks.

Ola S1 Pro Gen 2: Appearance

The suspension modification itself represents a significant difference in design because it provides the new Ola S1 Pro with a traditional appearance. The new box-section swingarm, which replaces the single-sided element from the earlier model, is another alteration in the rear that takes away from its overall appearance. With the exception of these modifications, the Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 appears exactly like the previous generation with its stylish turn signals and twin LED headlamp configuration. 

Ola S1 Pro Gen 2: Battery and Range

Although Ola brought in a few alterations to the battery pack to make it more effective and lighter, the new S1 Pro still uses the same 4kWh battery pack as the previous model. The new S1 Pro Gen 2 is said to have a range of 180 kilometres, a 0 to 40 km/h acceleration time of 2.6 seconds, and a top speed of 120 km/h.

The older-generation S1 had a range of 170 kilometres, could accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.9 seconds, and could achieve a top speed of 116 km /h. However, the time required to recharge the battery stays unchanged at 6.5 hours from zero to fully charged.

Ola S1 Pro Gen 2: Additional Features 

The speakers, party mode, and the entire set of connectivity functions are all still included in the new S1 Pro, thus there are no modifications to the previous model's functionality. Although Ola has made changes to the TFT display's integration with the vehicles but from the point of view of a customer, it is still the same as the original S1 Pro. 

Alloy wheels, disc brakes with combination brakes at both ends, full LED lighting, 12-inch wheels with 110/90-section tyres are included as additional features. Due to the new platform, the boot space has decreased by 2 litres, but this is barely noticeable.
