Xiaomi SU7: Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi unveiled its first electric vehicle, the SU7 sedan in December 2023. Later, Xiaomi announced that the deliveries for the SU7 EV will commence from March 2024 in the Chinese automotive market. Before the Xiaomi SU7 officially hits international markets, let’s take a look at the price expectations of the sedan. Additionally, Xiaomi will be officially launching the SU7 on March 28 and will also reveal its prices in the Chinese market.

Xiaomi SU7 - Price Expectation 

Talking about the price of the upcoming Xiaomi SU7 electric sedan, unlike many of Xiaomi's smartphone models, the Xiaomi SU7 isn't positioned as a budget-friendly option. It's beginning to make its way to dealerships across several regions in China, with CEO Lei Jun suggesting a price tag below 500,000 yuan (approximately $69,000 or Rs 57 lakh). In a crowded EV market like China, Xiaomi aims to establish its presence with the SU7. As Xiaomi positions the EV sedan in the premium category, it remains to be seen how the company will establish itself in competitive markets. 

Xiaomi SU7 - Battery, Range and Performance 

Xiaomi's SU7 electric car will be available in multiple variants, each equipped with different battery packs. The base model will feature a 73.6 kWh battery, while the top-tier variant will boast a larger 101 kWh battery. With an impressive driving range of up to 800 km on a single charge, the SU7 aims to provide enough range for long-distance travel.

In 2025, Xiaomi plans to introduce a new variant called the V8, which will be equipped with an even larger 150 kWh battery, offering a remarkable range of 1,200 km. The vehicle will be powered by two types of motors - the V6 and V6S - delivering power outputs ranging from 299 bhp to 374 bhp and peak torque of up to 635 Nm.

Xiaomi SU7 - Features 

Xiaomi's first electric offering in the automotive industry, the SU7 sedan offers a range of advanced features such as adaptive cruise control, parking assistance, an entertainment screen, a 25-speaker system and various connectivity options.
