Yamaha RX100 - New Engine

In terms of engine specs, the new iteration of the Yamaha RX100 is anticipated to be equipped with a powerful 225.9 cc engine. This engine is capable of producing a power output of 20 bhp and 19.9 Nm of torque. This upgrade from the original 98.2 cc two-stroke engine is necessary to maintain the iconic motorcycle's sound and power in a four-stroke model.

The Yamaha RX100 was renowned not just for its sleek and lightweight design but also for its distinctive sound and impressive power. To replicate these features in a four-stroke model, Yamaha needed to equip the motorcycle with an engine of at least 200 cc. In line with this, Yamaha is developing a new version of the RX100 that will be both high-performance and lightweight, featuring a larger engine. This marks a departure from the original 100 cc segment of the RX100, which was powered by a 98.2 cc two-stroke engine.
