Bihar Tragedy: In a shocking incident, five teenagers drowned in the Falgu River in Bihar's Gayaji district on Thursday. They were shooting a video for social media (Reel) when the incident occurred at Kenisthal Pahad Ghat in the Khizra Sarai police station area around 1:30 pm yesterday.
The police said four deceased have been identified as Jain (14), Shufiana (16), Sajid (16) and Anas Kumar (17), while the identity of the fifth one is yet to be ascertained. Seven boys went into the river to shoot a reel, they said.

Local Swimmer Saves Two Lives
SHO Mukesh Kumar said that five boys were swept away by the strong currents of the river. "Local swimmer Ranjay Manjhi was there, and he jumped into the river and rescued two boys. The remaining five boys could not be saved," he added.
The rescued boys were immediately taken to the hospital and their condition is out of danger, he said. The bodies of the deceased were later fished out of the river, the police official said.
Four Boys Killed While Bathing In Pond In Saran
In another incident on September 23, four boys, aged between 11 and 14 years, drowned while bathing in a pond in Bihar's Saran district. The deceased have been identified as Ashish Kumar (14), Munna Kumar (11), Kariman (13) and Ankush (11).
The incident took place in Maricha Thikaha village in Garkha police station area in the morning. Speaking to reporters, Garkha police station SHO Shahshi Ranjan said, "According to locals, the boys had gone to take a bath in a pond in the village, during which they slipped and fell into deep waters. Upon seeing them drowning, villagers tried to save them, but could not. Their bodies were later fished out and sent for post-mortem examination."
