The third meeting of the Grand Alliance, held on Sunday at Digha Resort in Patna, remained focused on its core agenda: the formation of coordination committees at the district, block, and panchayat levels. It was unanimously agreed that these committees would be set up across all levels, with the task set to be completed by the end of May, although Congress suggested a deadline of May 20.

While no final date was confirmed during the meeting, the Grand Alliance emphasised the importance of mutual coordination. The alliance also celebrated the success of the caste census, calling it a direct result of their collective pressure, and decided to celebrate this achievement among the public.

Over 500 political leaders, including district presidents, general secretaries, MLAs, MLCs, MPs, and state-level leaders from the constituent parties of the Grand Alliance (RJD, Congress, CPI(ML), CPI(M), and VIP), gathered for the meeting. Congress voiced concerns about the delay in election preparations, calling it detrimental to the alliance's prospects.

Meanwhile, the RJD emphasised the need for a unified strategy, stressing that the Grand Alliance must begin election preparations collectively, with no immediate discussion on the chief ministerial face.

Tejashwi Yadav, who chaired the meeting, emphasised the importance of unity and coordination at the booth level. He also confirmed the alliance's full support for the workers' strike proposed for May 20. After the meeting, Tejashwi stated that the Mahagathbandhan's workers would join the protests across districts.

In a press conference, RJD's national spokesperson, Manoj Jha, affirmed that the Grand Alliance would contest all 243 assembly seats in Bihar, asserting that the people were well aware of the alliance's plans for the upcoming elections.

The leadership of the coordination committee was described as unified, with Tejashwi Yadav leading the way. The meeting was attended by significant figures, including Congress Bihar in-charge Krishna Allavaru, state president Rajesh Ram, CPI(ML) leaders Kunal, Ramnaresh Pandey, and Mukesh Sahni from VIP.
