Preparations are in full swing for the Bihar Day celebrations scheduled for March 22, in Sheikhpura district. After a week of continuous efforts, the final touches are now being given to the arrangements. The main event will take place at the Parade Ground, with a packed schedule from 6 AM until late evening, as planned by the district administration.

To mark the occasion, various competitions, including sports, essay writing, painting, and rangoli, began on Thursday. Games are being organised at Abhyas Madhya Vidyalaya, while Islamia School is hosting other creative contests. The winners will be felicitated during the main function.

Adding to the festive spirit, the Sheikhpura Collectorate building has been illuminated with blue lights, creating a mesmerising night view. Several squares and government buildings have also been adorned with blue lighting.

Transport Minister and district in-charge minister, Sheila Mandal, will be the chief guest at the main event. The celebrations will feature a vibrant cultural program on the Parade Ground stage. Renowned singer Navneeta Pal will mesmerise the audience with her voice, while Armaan Khan and saxophone maestro Bablu Khan will also deliver enthralling performances.

Public Relations Officer Saurabh Kumar Bharti announced that after a day filled with various events, a grand cultural evening has been planned to conclude the Bihar Day celebrations on a high note.
