Bihar Election 2025: The opposition Mahagathbandhan on Sunday is likely to finalise the seat-sharing formula for the Bihar Assembly election after several days of tussle among the allies. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and former Chief Minister Lalu Yadav are set to participate in a high-profile meeting in Delhi with the senior Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Ajay Maken. The seat-sharing talks have been a riddle for the opposition alliance due to high demands from Mukesh Sahni's Vikashseel Insaan Party (VIP), left parties, and its new ally, JMM. Apart from this, the Congress have also demanded more seats, citing its alleged growing influence in the state

The top leaders from both the parties are likely to discuss several issues, including seat-sharing formula, demands from the local parties, Tejashwi Yadav's declaration for the chief minister post, and campaign strategy. While the Congress has reportedly demanded more than 70 seats, the RJD has urged the grand old party to contest 50 seats to adjust the new allies. The RJD is also likely to contest fewer seats in comparison to the 2020 Assembly election to provide more seats to Mukesh Sahni's party.
