Bihar Polls: The campaign for the Bihar Assembly election concluded on Sunday, as the voting for the second and final phase will be held on November 11. While the voting for the first phase for 121 out of the total 243 seats was held on November 6, the polling for the remaining 122 seats will be held on Tuesday. While the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is eyeing a return to power, the Mahagathbandhan is contesting to form a government in the state after a decade. The entry of poll strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor-led Jan Suraaj has added the spices to the politics of the state.

The two former Deputy CMs in the fray are Renu Devi from Bettiah and former Deputy Chief Minister Tarkishore Prasad from Katihar, both on the BJP ticket. While the BJP has fielded 53 candidates for the second phase, the JDU has given tickets to 44 candidates.

Apart from this, RJD has also fielded 71 candidates for the second phase, and the Congress has given tickets to 37. The polling for the second phase is expected to be interesting as the Asaduddin Owaisi-led AIMIM has also fielded its candidates in the Seemanchal region.
