Bihar Elections: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing an election rally near Dev Mod, Aurangabad on Friday, sought votes from the people on his and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's guarantees. He explained how Bihar is prospering under the double-engine government. PM Modi attacked Tejashwi Yadav-led Rashtirya Janata Dal, asserting Bihar does not want a 'katta sarkar'.
He claimed the NDA's victory in the first phase of the assembly elections, crediting it to women, youth, and farmers. The PM told the gathering that the enthusiasm with which people voted in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections resulted in breaking all previous records of voter turnout. This, he said, is a sign of the NDA's return to power.

PM Modi Reminds People Of 'Jungle Raj'
In his approximately 38-minute speech, the Prime Minister attacked the Congress and the RJD. He described the RJD government as one of 'jungle raj,' 'gun culture,' extortion, and ransom. He said that instead of providing jobs to the youth, RJD leaders are already engaged in making them extortionists. They are teaching them about guns, double-barreled weapons, ransom, and extortion, he added.
Pleased by the chants of "Modi, Modi," the PM said that this shows that the people of Bihar do not want to return to the RJD era. PM Modi also assured the people that he would fulfil the promises and guarantees he made. He highlighted the achievements and development brought about by the double-engine government at the Center and the state. PM Modi highlighted the work done and ongoing projects related to roads, bridges, hospitals, railways, colleges, and irrigation projects. He described the Congress and RJD governments as anti-Bihar and anti-development.
The Prime Minister mentioned the religious, historical, and cultural heritage of Magadh, including the Dev Surya Temple, the Umangeshwari Mata Temple in Madanpur, and Gaya. He paid tribute to the great freedom fighters of the district, Anugrah Narayan Singh and Jagpati Babu. The Prime Minister outlined his three main resolutions to the public: industrial and job creation, development in the agriculture and irrigation sectors, and women's empowerment.
He also highlighted the development that the construction of the Aurangabad-Bihta railway line would bring to the region. He assured the completion of the North Koel Canal project soon, giving credit to former MP Sushil Kumar Singh for it. He promised to give farmers Rs 9,000 annually if his government is re-elected.
Emphasising women's empowerment, he said that poor women are being made 'Lakhpati Didis' (women earning a lakh rupees). He mentioned the financial assistance provided to women's accounts, the reservations given to them, and the work done towards making them self-reliant. He told the public that he doesn't just make promises but fulfills them, which is why the people of the country trust him.
