Bihar Election Result: Days after receiving a humiliating defeat in the Bihar Assembly election, the Congress has served show-cause notice to its 43 senior leaders in the state. The grand old party has accused these leaders of involvement in anti-party activities during the polls, asking them to submit their responses by November 21. The Congress command has reportedly blamed these leaders for speaking against the party line in the recently concluded polls. The Congress could only manage to win 6 out of the total 61 seats it contested, a very low strike rate of less than 10 per cent.
Earlier on Sunday, several regional leaders blamed Congress state president Rajesh Ram and party-in-charge Krishna Allavaru for the bad performance. These leaders stated that the party ignored the old leaders during the key events, including ticket distribution and campaigning. As per the State Congress Disciplinary Committee Chairman Kapildev Prasad Yadav, all these leaders have been directed to submit their written explanation before the committee by November 21.
