Bihar Election Results 2025: Following the NDA's sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly elections, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reacted to their defeat in the state. The Congress party won only six of the 61 seats it contested in the Bihar Assembly elections.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote: "I express my heartfelt gratitude to the millions of voters in Bihar who placed their trust in the Mahagathbandhan.

This result in Bihar is truly surprising. We could not achieve victory in an election that was flawed from the very beginning.

This fight is for the protection of the Constitution and democracy. The Congress Party and the INDIA alliance will deeply review this result and make their efforts to safeguard democracy even more effective."

Congress Bihar state unit president Rajesh Kumar lost his seat in Kutumba, while legislature party leader in the outgoing assembly, Shakeel Ahmed Khan, was defeated by JD (U) candidate Dulal Chandra Goswami from the Kadwa seat by a margin of 18,368 votes.
