Tej Pratap Yadav's Y-Plus Security: The Central government provided Y+ category security to Janshakti Janata Dal founder and elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav, hours after his second meeting with the BJP MP, Ravi Kishan, said the sources. The development is crucial as his security has been heightened just a day before the end of the campaign for the final phase of the Bihar Assembly elections.
Yadav, a candidate from the Mahua assembly constituency in the Bihar elections, has been given Y Plus category security by the Ministry of Home Affairs amid speculations over a post-election alliance with the NDA. A buzz was triggered after Yadav's two meetings with Kishan in 24 hours at the airport.
On Saturday, the duo came across and exchanged greetings, calling the second meeting a coincidence.
What Is Y-Category Security?
Security agencies recently submitted a security assessment report on Tej Pratap to the Home Ministry, following which the Ministry directed that his security be upgraded. It should be noted that Y+ category security involves the deployment of 11 armed police commandos, with 5 static police personnel stationed at the VIP's residence and surrounding area for protection. Additionally, 6 Personal Security Officers (PSOs) are deployed in three shifts.
Yadav, a candidate from the Mahua assembly constituency in the Bihar Assembly elections, has sparked the speculations over a post-election alliance with the NDA.

The Janshakti Janata Dal founder and the BJP MP Ravi were first seen together at the Patna airport on Friday, raising eyebrows amid the assembly elections.
As they exited the airport chatting, journalists surrounded them, speculating whether the appearance of the former RJD leader, once a staunch critic of the BJP-RSS, alongside Kishan signalled a new political equation.
Big Hint By The Duo
Yadav, who was expelled from RJD by his father Lalu Prasad, campaigned in Gaya for his party's candidates on Friday. On the other hand, the actor-turned politician addressed NDA's rallies in East Champaran and West Champaran districts. Reacting to his meeting with the BJP MP, Yadav said, "It is just that I am meeting Ravi Kishan for the first time.
When he was again asked about praise coming his way from "some senior BJP leaders", Kishan stepped in, saying, "It is his heart that is earning people's praise." "Anything can happen. BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi keep doors open for all devotees of Bholenath, who are devoted to selfless service and not in politics because of a personal agenda," said the actor-turned-politician.
