Following the model of the Mithila Haat in Madhubani, the Bihar government will construct similar Haats in various districts to promote local handicrafts and artisans. Among the upcoming projects, Patna Haat will be established near Gandhi Maidan, while Rohtas Haat will be developed near the Indrapuri reservoir.
The site for Rohtas Haat has been finalised and a budget of Rs 28 crore has been approved. Meanwhile, administrative sanction has been granted for Rs 48.96 crore for the construction of Patna Haat. As per official sources, Patna Haat will be more than just a shopping hub — it will also serve as a destination for leisure and cultural engagement.

The proposed facilities at Patna Haat include a three-storey emporium, two restaurants, game zone for children, underground and surface parking, fire safety systems, solar power units, CCTV surveillance, lifts, and boundary walls with street lighting.
In addition, the state is also accelerating the development of ropeways to enhance tourism. Inspired by the ropeway services in Rajgir and Mandar Hills, new ropeways are being constructed at Pretshila and Dungeshwari (Gaya), Vanavar (Jehanabad), Mundeshwari Temple (Kaimur), and Rohtasgarh Fort. Ropeway projects in Gaya and Kaimur are in their final phase and are expected to be completed by August–September 2025.
