In a significant step towards inclusive growth, the Bihar government has launched a focused initiative to ensure that the benefits of public welfare schemes reach Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) hamlets in Siwan. The district administration is actively working to make sure that eligible individuals from these communities are informed and included in ongoing development efforts.
As part of this mission, 22 welfare schemes have been identified to be implemented across SC-ST dominated areas. These schemes cover a wide range of services and support systems, including the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, formal school admission for children, access to Anganwadi (ICDS) services, and assistance with essential documents like birth and death certificates and Aadhaar cards.
In addition, youth-oriented programs like the Skilled Youth Program and Skill Development Program have been included, along with employment and financial assistance schemes such as the Chief Minister's Nishchay Self Help Allowance Scheme, e-Shram card registration, and registration under the Bihar Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

Health-related schemes like the Ayushman Bharat Card, general health cards, and health camps are also part of this outreach. Housing and land-related benefits such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, residential land distribution, and Basgit certificates are being provided.
Furthermore, social security schemes including the Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, Rani Laxmi Bai Social Security Pension, Chief Minister’s Old Age Pension, National Family Benefit Scheme, and Chief Minister’s Family Benefit Scheme are part of the initiative.
Other included schemes are the Kabir Funeral Grant, Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Scheme, and a range of support schemes for persons with disabilities, such as the National Disability Scheme, Disability Pension, Disabled Card, and Disabled Marriage Scheme. With this comprehensive effort, the government aims to ensure that no eligible beneficiary in SC-ST hamlets is left behind in the journey of development.
