The Bihar government is focusing on the integration of moral education in all government schools starting this academic year. As part of this initiative, students in primary, secondary, and higher secondary schools will receive moral education during morning assemblies.
The Education Department will soon issue guidelines for all government schools regarding this program. A booklet outlining the key principles of moral education that will be taught to students is also being prepared.
The Education Department has emphasised that moral education will take priority during school assemblies. In addition, the department is encouraging community involvement in government schools.
They view moral education, as a vital component of social science, as essential for the overall development of children and for fostering a better society. The Education Department is preparing guidelines to enhance community participation in schools.
The focus of these guidelines will be on instilling moral values such as honesty, respect, empathy, justice, and responsibility in children. This education aims to help students adopt these values, strengthen their character, and differentiate between right and wrong. It also aims to foster a sense of responsibility towards society while promoting discipline, patience, and improved behavior among students.
