Bihar Pink Buses

In an effort to give women commuters safe and reasonably priced transportation, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar flagged off 20 pink buses on Friday. These buses, which feature female conductors and drivers, will operate in six cities.

The initiative's goal, according to Transport Minister Sheela Kumari, is to make sure that women feel comfortable riding on these buses. According to the minister, these buses will be equipped with first-aid kits, charging stations, and a panic button. They will also be monitored by CCTV and GPS tracking. She said that the rates had also been kept low.
