As the rumours spread, a large crowd gathered near the accident site and demanded action against the police. The situation quickly escalated, and the mob set the police vehicle on fire. Eyewitnesses said the vehicle caught fire within seconds, causing panic in the area.

To control the situation, police used tear gas to disperse the crowd. “The situation at the scene is normal. Some people have been detained,” SP Dixit confirmed.

Police officials said additional forces have been deployed to prevent further unrest. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the collision and to identify those who spread the false information.
