Bihar Polls: With just a few days remaining in the voting for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly election, all the political parties are campaigning to lure the voters in their favour. With a total of four assembly constituencies, Khagaria is one of the most discussed districts, where a close contest is expected for every seat. All 34 candidates for these seats have been campaigning tirelessly, as the voting is scheduled for November 6 (first phase). The trend suggests that while there are one-on-one contests in two of the seats, the possibility of a triangular contest has increased in two other constituencies.
One of the most discussed seats is Parbatta, where a tight contest is likely between Mahagathbandhan's Sanjeev Kumar and the NDA candidate Babulal Shaurya. While there are a total of five candidates in the fray, including Vinay Kumar Varun of Jan Suraj and BSP's Robin Smith of the BSP, the contest is mainly between the two key alliances of the state, reported Jagran.Com.

The Beldaur assembly constituency is also expected to witness a direct contest between Janata Dal United (JDU) candidate MLA Panna Lal Singh Patel and Congress' Mithilesh Nishad. Apart from these two key candidates, 12 other contestants are also in the fray.
However, a triangular contest is expected in the Khagaria Assembly constituency, where JDU candidate Bablu Mandal is contesting against Congress' Chandan Yadav and the newly formed Jan Suraaj's Jayanti Patel. A total of 10 candidates are contesting from this constituency, where both the JDU and Congress have changed their candidates.
Apart from this, a triangular contest is also expected in the Alauli (reserved) Assembly constituency between Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), JDU, and the RLSP. While the RJD has fielded MLA Ramvriksha Sada, the JDU has given the ticket to Ramchandra Sada. The results for both the phases of the assembly election will be announced on November 14.
