Bihar Polls: Amid an intensified campaign for the Bihar Assembly election, the AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday took a dig at Mahagathbandhan's chief ministerial face, Tejashwi Yadav. Owaisi claimed that the RJD leader had called him an extremist, further challenging him to write the word in English properly. He also claimed that Tejashwi took his words from Pakistan to insult the AIMIM leader. Owaisi also stated that Tejashwi insulted him as he refused to bow down and was not afraid of his father and former Chief Minister Lalu Yadav. Earlier last month, Owaisi had stated that Tejashwi refused to form an alliance with AIMIM, further calling him arrogant.

While speaking at a rally in Kishanganj, Owaisi challenged Tejashwi to write the words that he has used to allegedly insult the AIMIM chief. "Babu, 'extremist' ko tum zara angrezi mein likh le… ('can you write 'extremist' in English')?" Owaisi asked. "an interviewer asked Tejashwi Yadav why he didn't align with Owaisi. Tejashwi said 'Owaisi is an extremist… a fanatic… a terrorist'. He calls me an 'extremist' because I follow my religion with pride," he added.

Owaisi further claimed that the RJD leader attacked him because he refused to beg in front of him. "The one who does not bow down in front of you… the one who does not beg… the one who is not afraid of your father (i.e., Lalu Prasad Yadav) … you call him a coward? A beard on my face and a cap on my head… that makes me an extremist? So much hatred in you," Owaisi asserted.
