Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, private schools in the district allocate 25 per cent of their seats for students from economically weaker sections (EWS) and non-profit groups. According to the Education Department, a total of 303 students have been admitted to private schools so far, while 412 students have been granted enrollment approval. The remaining admissions will be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
District Education Officer (DEO) Akshay Kumar Pandey stated that admissions under RTE are processed through the Gyan Deep portal for Class 1 in approved private schools. Out of 441 applications received, 412 students have been granted admission, and 303 have already enrolled.
