Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will kick off the 'Voter Adhikaar Yatra' from Sasaram, Bihar, on August 17. The fortnight-long yatra aims to promote justice, equality, democracy, and public dialogue across the state.
In preparation, Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru and Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee President Rajesh Ram held a key strategy meeting with senior leaders, front organisation heads, and party workers to discuss execution plans and gather suggestions for the yatra's success.
Speaking after the meeting, Rajesh Ram urged workers to begin groundwork immediately, emphasising that all INDIA bloc leaders would be invited to join the initiative. Allavaru described the yatra as a movement to strengthen democratic values and called on Congress members to approach it with full dedication and discipline.
He added, “This is not just a political programme, but an effort to connect with the soul of the country. Bihar, historically a land of people's movements, will once again lead from the front.”
