Sitamarhi-Delhi Amrit Bharat Train Update:  In a boost to the railway infrastructure in Bihar, the Railway Ministry has announced the launch of an Amrit Bharat Express Train from Sitamarhi (Bihar) to New Delhi. “Amrit Bharat Train (Sitamarhi Delhi Amrit Bharat Train) will soon be operational from Sitamarhi to Delhi,” Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar wrote on X.

Kumar recently met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and formally requested the introduction of a new Amrit Bharat train service to enhance connectivity between Sitamarhi and the national capital. Soon after, Vaishnav directed the concerned officials to take immediate action in this regard and start the operation of the Sitamarhi-Delhi Amrit Bharat train soon.

In addition to this, the MP Kumar demanded the construction of an overbridge to get rid of the problem of congestion at Railway Gumti-13 in Madhubani, a survey of the new rail line Sitamarhi–Jaynagar–Laukaha–Forbesganj and Jhanjharpur–Supaul–Madhepur (with new Kosi Bridge), status of 'Amrit Station' to Jhanjharpur, construction of two washing pits along with a coaching complex in Laukha, and establishment of MEMU maintenance shed in Manigachhi.

Patna-Delhi Amrit Bharat Train Launched

Earlier this month, the Indian Railways launched the Patna-Delhi Amrit Bharat Express train on July 31. The train departs from Rajendra Nagar at 7:45 PM and arrives in New Delhi at 1:10 PM the next day via Patna, Danapur, Ara, Buxar, Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Subedarganj, Govindpuri, and Ghaziabad.

In another update, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated two new Amrit Bharat Express Trains originating from Gomtinagar, including Malda Town-Gomtinagar (Weekly) and Darbhanga-Gomtinagar (Weekly).
