Bihar Voter List 2025: The draft voter list for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections will be released on August 1, marking the beginning of the claims and objections period. The Election Commission will share copies of the list with political parties and from the same day, voters can check if their names or details have any mistakes.

When And How Voters Can Submit Objections?

Voters and political parties can submit objections or corrections from August 1 to September 1. This includes cases where a name has been wrongly added, removed or has any incorrect information. People can fill out a form and submit it to the Voter Registration Officer (ERO) of their assembly area.

Final Voter List to Be Published on September 30

The Commission has asked voters to carefully check the list and report any issues within the time limit. All claims and objections will be verified and resolved by August 26. Only valid voters will be included in the final list, which will be published on September 30.

District Magistrate Shares Process Details

District Magistrate Dr Naval Kishore Chaudhary said that political parties will receive the draft list once it is out. If a voter’s name is missing, they can file a claim and if a name is wrongly included or written, they can file an objection.

BLOs Assigned to Upload Missing Documents

Meanwhile, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will help collect and upload documents for those voters who did not provide them earlier. To make the process smooth, a three-level officer team will monitor daily progress of claims and objections.

At present, the district has about 24 lakh registered voters, but recent corrections have led to a drop of nearly 2.4 lakh names. The total number of eligible voters who can vote in the next election will be confirmed once the final list is ready at the end of September.
