Bihar Weather: The weather in Bihar has been changing in recent days, with heavy rain and high winds forcing temperatures to plummet by up to 10°C in certain parts. On Monday, April 28, rain was reported in roughly 33 districts around the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted a similar weather conditions for Tuesday and Wednesday, April 29 and 30, including thunderstorms, lightning, and moderate rainfall in around 15 districts.

The IMD has issued a warning for light to moderate rain, along with thunder, lightning, and winds gusting up to 50 km/h. The affected districts are West Champaran, East Champaran, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Munger, and Khagaria. Cloudy skies with low temperatures are likely to continue throughout the day in these areas.

West Champaran, particularly regions like Valmiki Nagar, Bagaha, and Ramnagar, has already experienced a considerable drop in temperatures. Meteorologists forecast that cooler temperatures will persist for the next two days throughout much of Bihar. During this time, the maximum temperature can decrease by up to 5°C, with a low of 4°C.

Due to the ongoing spell of bad weather, Bihar has witnessed a significant dip in temperatures. The minimum temperature across the state has dropped by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature has fallen by 2 to 10 degrees. During this period, Darbhanga recorded the lowest temperature at 18.4°C, making it the coldest city in the state. Rohtas emerged as the hottest, with the mercury touching 40°C.
