Monsoon activity has intensified across Bihar, offering much-needed relief from the sweltering humidity. Intermittent heavy rainfall has been recorded in several districts, including the capital Patna. According to the Meteorological Centre in Patna, 20 districts, including the capital, are likely to witness rain accompanied by thunder in the next 24 hours.

A warning for very heavy rainfall has been issued for Bhabua and Rohtas, while heavy rain is expected in Arwal, Aurangabad, Buxar, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Banka, Jamui, and Sheikhpura. Strong winds ranging from 30 to 40 km/h are also expected in these areas.

Over the last 24 hours, several regions have recorded significant rainfall. Dobhi in Gaya district received the highest rainfall of the season so far at 186.8 mm, followed by Sherghati (181.4 mm) and Fatehpur (180.2 mm). Patna recorded 26.6 mm of rain, while on Wednesday alone, 14.6 mm was reported in the city, leading to waterlogging in several low-lying areas.

-Kutumba, Aurangabad (100.2 mm)
