Bihar Weather: The weather agency has predicted heavy rains with lightning and thunder in Bihar including the capital Patna for the next two days. Farmers have been warned not to go to the fields for the same. It has also been advised to stay in safe places till the weather improves.

On Saturday, most districts, including Patna, experienced sporadic rain. The highest temperature in 18 districts of the state has dropped. Rain disrupted life from Friday evening till late Saturday night. The monsoon will be active over the next two days, according to the Meteorological Department.

An orange alert was issued on Sunday in the northern parts of Kishanganj, Araria, and Supaul and a yellow alert was issued in Purnia, Katihar, Madhepura, and Madhubani districts due to heavy rainfall.

In the northeast and southeast regions, there is a chance of thunder and lightning at one or two locations at the same time.

In the last 24 hours, the maximum rainfall of 316.4 mm was reported in Kodwanpur, Begusarai, and 24.8 mm in Patna. On Saturday, Patna received 61.0 mm of rain, Bhagalpur received 49.0 mm, Purnia received 13.2 mm, Muzaffarpur received 43.0 mm, and Supaul received 164.8 mm.
