Bihar Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that several districts of Bihar are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next three to four days. The weather department stated that at least 30 districts are also set to witness thunderstorms, lightning, and strong surface winds. The continuous rainfall is likely to provide relief from the scorching heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts, including Kishanganj, Purnia, Supaul, Araria, and Katihar, are likely to witness heavy rainfall for the next few days. It further stated that the other districts, such as Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Muzaffarpur, and Samastipur, are also set to witness moderate to heavy rainfall during the same period of time. Apart from rainfall, these districts are also likely to receive gusty winds and thunderstorms.

According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation area is formed over Jharkhand along with SouthwestBihar. Several districts of Bihar received heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours due to the formation of a cyclonic circulation area. The weather department also stated that the capital city, Patna, will also witness light to moderate rainfall in the upcoming days.

While the maximum temperature of Patna is likely to be recorded at 35 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 26 degrees Celsius. The IMD has advised the farmers to protect their crop and limit their outings during the rain to avoid any inconveniences.

Apart from Bihar, several other states, including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and Himachal Pradesh, are also likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days.
