Bihar Weather Updates: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday stated that several districts of Bihar are expected to receive heavy rainfall in the upcoming few days. The weather department stated that a low-pressure area over the southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal has moved northwestwards, leading to the weather change. It stated that apart from rainfall, the residents of these districts will experience strong winds and thunderstorms.

The weather department issued a yellow alert for hailstorms and strong winds in several districts, including Kishanganj, Araria, Purnia, and Supaul. It stated that the north-central, northeast, and southeast parts of the state are expected to receive heavy rainfall, decreasing the temperature. The IMD stated that though the residents are likely to get relief from the scorching heat, the crops are likely to get destroyed by the strong wind and hailstorms.
