The row surrounding the BPSC exam is intensifying as the issue has now reached the Supreme Court. The petition demands the cancellation of the BPSC prelims examination and calls for accountability for the police action against protesting students. It specifically seeks action against the SP and DM, who are held responsible for the use of force during the protests. Besides, Jan Suraj founder Prashant Kishor’s fast-unto-death entered its fourth day. He has also been demanding the cancellation of the exam.

- The petition filed in the Supreme Court alleges widespread irregularities during the examination. It calls for a thorough investigation into the matter by the CBI, under the leadership of a retired Supreme Court judge. According to the petitioner, the Supreme Court registry has been urged to ensure an expedited hearing 

- Prashant Kishor reacted sharply to criticism over a luxury 'vanity van' parked near his protest site at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan. Kishor dismissed the issue as a distraction to divert attention from the BPSC protest

- Tejashwi Yadav said that students did not want the movement to be politicised and he had also written to the Chief Minister in this regard. "It is being completely politicised. We feel that the people of Bihar will have to recognise these people who are the BJP's 'B' team and are trying to crush this independent movement. This is highly condemnable," he said while speaking with ANI

- Notably, Police used lathi charge and water cannon to disperse the BPSC aspirants protesting in Patna's Gandhi Maidan, demanding a re-exam to be held for the 70th BPSC prelims. The students have since been holding ardent protests across Bihar. Several politicians have also extended support to their movement

- As many as 5,943 students appeared for the Bihar Public Service Prelims re-test, which was held at 22 centres across Patna

- The Government Railway Police (GRP) at the Patna Junction has registered an FIR against Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav and seven others for their role in blocking railway operations at Sachiwalay Halt on Friday.
