Chaos erupted in Sarbahdi village, under the Manpur police station area, on Saturday morning after the body of a 28-year-old youth, missing since Friday evening, was recovered from a pond on the outskirts of the village. The incident has led to a tense atmosphere in the area.
The deceased has been identified as Raja Chaudhary (28), a resident of the same village. According to his family, Raja left home after dinner on Friday evening, saying he was going to play cards, but did not return late into the night. On Saturday morning, villagers spotted a body floating in the pond and immediately informed his family.
The victim's cousin, Bhola Chaudhary, has alleged that Raja was brutally murdered. He stated that there are deep stab wounds on Raja's head and several other parts of his body, "which makes it clear that the assailants committed the crime brutally and then threw the body into the pond with the intent to destroy evidence."

Upon receiving the information, the police, along with Sadar DSP-1 Nurul Haque, reached the scene. The DSP stated that, at first glance, the case appears to be a murder. The police have taken the body into custody, sent it for a post-mortem examination to BiharsharifSadar Hospital, and have begun their investigation. Police officials have assured that they will solve the murder case soon and arrest the culprits.
