The Conjuring Last Rites Box Office Collection Day 1: The newly released Hollywood movie not just entered the Indian box office, but also haunted it, leaving its big-budget competition in the dust. Michael Chaves’ horror flick stormed the theatres on September 5 and won over every fan of the horror genre with its spine-chilling narrative and mind-blowing plot. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, one of the most favourite ghost-hunting duos of Hollywood, revived their roles of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren to crack the last mystery of the Smurl haunting in Pennsylvania.
The Conjuring Last Rites faced solid competition at the Indian box office with three much-anticipated movies - Tiger Shroff and Sanjay Dutt starrer Baaghi 4, Sivakarthikeyan's Madharaasi and Vivek Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files. Despite tough competition, the Hollywood horror flick surpassed all expectations and ruled the box office on its opening day.
