On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day, the Chief Minister of Bihar has announced uniformity in the prelims exam fee for all types of government exams in the state. In major relief to underprivileged applicants appearing for the Bihar government exams, the state government has slashed the preliminary exam fee to Rs 100. Conducting bodies of all the government exams in the state have been advised to take the revised uniform amount. 

Nitish Kumar, making a post on X, said that the government has taken a significant step towards easing the competitive exam for applicants by reducing the exam fee and making it uniform for the state-level government/competitive exams.

CM Nitish On Bihar Government Exam Fee

"To provide more opportunities to the state's youth and secure their future, our government has taken several concrete steps. Now, we've made another decision in the interest of the youth. I'm pleased to announce that we've decided to bring uniformity in the fees for preliminary tests of competitive examinations conducted by all commissions for state-level government jobs, and to provide significant fee concessions to candidates. Instructions have been given to charge only Rs 100 as the fee for candidates appearing in the preliminary test of the competitive examinations. What Is Exam Fee For Mains In Bihar

In his X post, CM Nitish clearly mentioned that while only Rs 100 will be charged for the preliminary exam for a government job, applicants will not have to pay any amount to appear for the Mains as the Mains have been made totally free.
