A woman in Bihar's Patna has sparked a wave of online reactions after her SUV, carrying five passengers, got stuck in a massive waterlogged pothole near the Patna railway station on Friday evening. The car owner, identified as Neetu Singh Choubey, a resident of Bhagalpur, said that mishap was part of a "conspiracy to defame the government" that truly caught the internet’s attention.

A video of the incident went viral, showing a black Scorpio-N nearly submerged and tilted awkwardly in the giant pothole. Two men are seen climbing on top of the SUV, opening the driver’s door to check if anyone remained inside.

The stretch of broken, neglected road highlights long-standing infrastructure issues in the area, with locals pointing out that repairs have been ignored for months.

Car owner Nitu Singh Choubey said, "Everyone has been contacted. We spoke with the DM. This is a conspiracy to defame the government during the election period. This is all BUIDCO's fault. They created a pothole on the road and left it for 20 days. It's the rainy season. 5 people fell into it. If someone had lost their life, then who would take responsibility? There was no barricade. Even after my car fell, another person fell off his bike in the same pothole. Locals say someone or the other falls in this pothole every day..."

When asked if the administration had given any prior notice, she stated that officials admitted no written warning had been issued. She also confirmed that all passengers were safely rescued and no injuries were reported.

According to reports, all passengers were safely rescued and escaped without injuries. Despite overturning and landing on its side in the waterlogged pothole, the Scorpio-N — known for its robust build and crash safety, held up well. The SUV's cabin and structural pillars remained visibly intact after the incident.
