Chief Minister Rekha Gupta highlighted the importance of women’s health at a mega health camp organised at AIIMS on Monday under the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family) campaign.
Addressing the gathering, the CM said that while women take care of their families and contribute to society as doctors, engineers, and teachers, they often neglect their own health. “A healthy woman is the foundation of an empowered family and a developed society,” she said.

She added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken significant steps for the welfare of women and now urges them to prioritise their own health. As part of this initiative, 1,00,000 health camps are being organised daily across the country from September 17, offering free check-ups and consultations.
The AIIMS camp provides a range of services, including eye, dental, and blood tests, TB screening, and health check-ups for women and children. Participants are also being educated on the importance of a nutritious diet to maintain overall well-being.
