An important stamp sales register from the year 1972 has gone missing from the district treasury. After receiving a complaint about this, the District Magistrate (DM), Subrat Kumar Sen, has taken the matter seriously and has formed a three-person committee to investigate.

The District Land Acquisition Officer has been made the chairperson of this investigation committee, while the District Accounts Officer and the District Deputy Collector (Revenue) will be its members. The committee has been instructed to investigate the matter and submit a report, based on which further action will be taken.

According to the information, the complaint was filed with the DM by a resident named Raj Kumar Sarraf from Teen Kothiya Bhola Chowk. He stated that on April 1st of this year, he had applied for a copy of the stamp sales register dated January 24, 1972. In response, the District Archives and Treasury informed him that the register for that date is missing.

After this, he sent his complaint to the DM and the Chief Minister's Secretariat dashboard. From there, the application was sent to the then-Additional Collector for investigation, but no action was taken in his office, and the application was simply buried in files. Frustrated by this, he submitted another application to the DM, requesting the formation of a committee and the filing of a police complaint (FIR).

The chairman of the investigation committee, District Land Acquisition Officer Shaligram Sah, has said that he has been informed about the case. He stated that the investigation process will begin soon, and notices will be issued to all concerned parties. After gathering complete information, a report will be prepared based on the facts and will be submitted to the DM for action.
