Passengers traveling on the Vaishali Express from Lalitgram to New Delhi will benefit from reduced fares starting December 7. The train's "Superfast" designation will be removed on this date, leading to a drop in ticket prices.
Many passengers have already managed to book "opening tickets" for the next two months at the upcoming lower rates. For travel on or after December 7, the new train numbers for booking will be 15565 and 15566.
The fare reductions will be as follows:
- Sleeper Class: Rs 30 cheaper
- AC-II and AC-III Tier: Rs 45 cheaper
- First AC: Rs 75 cheaper
New Fares from Muzaffarpur to New Delhi (effective December 7):
- First AC: The fare, previously Rs 5,430, will now be Rs 3,350.
- AC-II Tier: The fare will decrease from Rs 2,040 to Rs 1,995.
- AC-III Tier: The fare will decrease from Rs 1,440 to Rs 1,395.
- Sleeper: The fare will decrease from Rs 550 to Rs 520.
While passengers have expressed happiness over the reduced fares, some have raised concerns that the lower prices might lead to increased crowding on the popular train.
