Bihar Elections 2025: CM Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal United (JDU) on Thursday released its second and final list of 44 candidates for the Bihar assembly elections 2025, which are scheduled to be held in two phases - November 6 and November 11. With the second list, it declared all of its 101 nominees for the elections per the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) seat-sharing setup. Bijendra Prasad Yadav has been fielded from the Supaul constituency.
Four Muslim candidates
The ruling party fielded four Muslim candidates in the second list:
- Saba Zafar from Amour
- Manzar Alam from Jokihat
- Shagufta Azim from Araria
- Mohd Zama Khan from Chainpur
Nitish Kumar's party gave 9 tickets to women:
- Sonam Rani Sardar from Triveniganj
- Shagufta Azim from Araria
- Leshi Singh from Dhamdaha
- Manorama Devi from Belaganj
- Shalini Mishra from Kesaria
- Shweta Gupta from Sheohar
- Mina Kumari Kamat from Babubarhi
- Sheela Kumari Mandal from Phulparas
- Vibha Devi Yadav from Nawada

Earlier, on Wednesday, the ruling party announced its first list of 57 candidates for the upcoming assembly polls, with several ministers like Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Sharwan Kumar, and Madan Sahni among nominees.
Ministers Ratnesh Sada and Maheshwar Hazari also featured on the list. The list also included turncoats like Shyam Rajak, who returned to the JD(U), quitting RJD about a year ago, and don-turned politician Anant Kumar Singh, who had filed nomination papers from the Mokama assembly seat on Tuesday.
