The Bihar Tourism Department on Thursday unveiled two state-of-the-art luxury mobile caravans, introducing a unique and premium way for travellers to explore Bihar and destinations beyond. Equipped with high-end amenities, the caravans aim to boost tourism by offering a comfortable, hotel-like experience on wheels.

Ratnesh Kumar, Manager at the Bihar Tourism Department, said the vehicles were built in Chandigarh and will soon be available for public use once registration and permit procedures are completed. "We are working to secure a permit for nationwide travel so tourists can take the caravans to any part of India," he added.

Designed with meticulous attention to detail, the caravans combine mobility with luxury. With approvals underway, the department plans to make these premium vehicles accessible to travellers looking for a flexible, elevated travel experience across India.

Bihar Luxury Mobile Caravans: Price Details

The luxury caravans will be available for rent at Rs 75 per kilometre, with a minimum daily usage requirement of 250 kilometres, which comes to approximately Rs 20,000 per day.

Highlighting the premium features, Kumar said, "This vehicle is very special. It includes advanced security arrangements and CCTV cameras. We can call it a moving 5-star hotel."

About Bihar Luxury Mobile Caravans: Completion And Booking Details

The luxury caravans come equipped with a range of high-end amenities designed to offer a hotel-like experience on wheels. According to Vishal Ratan, Sales Manager at JCBL, the company behind the design and manufacturing, the vehicles were completed within three months.

"Two caravans have been handed over to Bihar Tourism, and soon they will be available in Patna and across the state. Bookings will be opened both online and offline through the Tourism Department," he told ANI.

Bihar Luxury Mobile Caravans: Facilities And Features

1. Each luxury caravan includes four premium inclinator seats, a three-seater sofa, smart TVs, and an in-built theatre system for an immersive entertainment experience.

2. A fully equipped kitchen area features modern cooking appliances comparable to those in a 5-star hotel, ensuring convenience during long journeys.

3. The interiors prioritise comfort with bathrooms fitted with showers and four private bedrooms furnished with orthopaedic mattresses that offer cervical support.

4. Additional amenities include a dressing room, ample luggage storage, and aircraft-style overhead compartments for added convenience.

5. Safety and comfort features include fire detectors, an emergency exit, air suspension, and 360-degree revolving chairs to elevate the overall travel experience.

Ratan described the vehicle as "a mobile private jet or a 5-star hotel on wheels," highlighting that the caravans are ideal for long-distance journeys to destinations like Leh, Ladakh, and Jammu & Kashmir. He added that the company has already received interest from neighbouring states and plans to deliver more caravans in the near future. The initiative aims to provide travellers with a unique, premium experience while enhancing Bihar’s tourism offerings.
