Delhi Traffic Advisory: The Delhi Traffic Police on Wednesday, November 26, issued a traffic advisory that has curbed the traffic movement for nearly three months due to ongoing construction work of the Palam Railway Crossing, warning commuters of possible congestion in the surrounding areas. The closure, which took effect on November 3, will remain in place for the next 90 days.

Delhi Traffic Advisory: Diversion Points

- Traffic movement from the Dwarka side heading towards Delhi Cantonment/Dhaula Kuan will be rerouted via Palam-Dwarka Flyover.

- Vehicular movement from Mangalpuri towards Delhi Cantonment/Dhaula Kuan will be diverted via Parshuram Chowk and Palam Flyover.

- Vehicles coming from the Palam Colony side can use the following alternative routes for travelling: Parshuram Chowk, Manglapuri, Bhagat Chandra Hospital Chowk, Palam Flyover Road.

- Delhi Traffic police has also restricted the movement of heavy vehicles around the Palam area and instead follow Ring Road /NH-48 to proceed towards their respective destinations.

Public Advisory 

The Delhi Traffic Police has also issued the following public advisories for the commuters:

  • Commuters should avoid the affected route as far as possible and instead opt for alternative routes.

  • Commuters should use public transport and avoid using personal vehicles to reduce congestion.

  • Travellers should adhere to the rules of traffic personnel for a smoother traffic movement.

Ghaziabad Traffic Advisory

In a separate incident, the Ghaziabad traffic police have issued an advisory stating that the Delhi-Meerut Road in Muradnagar will remain closed until the completion of the program marking Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s inauguration of the cave temple at Tarun Sagar Jain Tirtha. Vehicles on the Delhi-Meerut Road will be completely restricted during this time.

Alternative And Restricted Routes:

1. Vehicles traveling from Delhi to Meerut are advised to use the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

2. Vehicles traveling on the Kundli-Palwal section of the Eastern Peripheral Expressway will face restrictions.

3. Vehicles traveling from Meerut to Delhi can exit at Bhojpur and continue to their destinations via the expressway.

4. These restrictions are in effect from 8 am until the conclusion of the Chief Minister’s program.
