The third phase of the Revenue Mega Campaign commenced on Sunday, across Muzaffarpur, under which applications submitted by landholders (raiyats) at special camps are being uploaded online. Additional Collector (Revenue) Kumar Prashant informed that the campaign is being carried out in four phases.

In the first phase, blueprints of the land record register (jamabandi panji) were printed and downloaded, while in the second phase, these registers were distributed. The ongoing third phase involves uploading applications online, and in the final phase, these applications will be processed and updated. Camps are being set up across all administrative circles (anchals), with technical teams managing the uploading process.

So far, 1.17 lakh applications have been submitted by landholders. Meanwhile, nearly 19 lakh land record registers have been distributed across the district, with about one lakh still in process. However, some challenges remain, as many landholders have either passed away or shifted elsewhere, making accurate verification difficult. In such cases, the department will conduct verification at its own level before uploading.

Prashant further stated that a technical glitch in the server is showing only 11 lakh registers as distributed on the portal, whereas the actual figure is around 19 lakh. This issue will be resolved soon, after which the updated numbers will reflect.

The submitted applications include requests for partition, name corrections, and other updates, which will be processed as per the rules.
